Soldbuch + documents to R. Lustermann. Lustermann, a young Panzerschützen recruted in 1942 was trained within the Panzer Ersatz Abteilung 18. Very soon he became active in the front unit Panzer Regiment 2 that was part of the 25. Panzer Divison. Lustermann mainly saw action in the whole year 1944 in the East of Poland where he soon recorded his combat days in his Soldbuch. Small close combat and assault battles were fought around Warsaw in cities like Rakowiczi, Stepanowka, Dumka, Bortniki, Klebow, Sokal,... On 1.11.44 Lustermann was awarded the Panzer assault badge in silver in combination with a promotion to NCO! Only six weeks later he was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd class in combination with the wound badge in black for his first wound on 15.12.44. Lustermann appeared to be a very brave soldier, and It didn't take much longer for him to receive the EK1 only few months later. As the panzer assault days counted up, Lustermann received the Panzer Assault Badge for 25 Assault on 1.3.45.

Lustermann survived the war and was taken prisoner. The group includes his discharge papers from 1946 and the original Panzer Assault badge in silver award document!

The soldbuch remains in good, worn condition with all pages intact + extra pages put in. Pages loose from the cover. Photo of Lustermann was removed.

A super grouping to a brave late war panzer member who fought in East Poland!
