Luftwaffe grouping to Feldwebel Hugo Merz, Airgunner within Kampfgruppe 606. This unit, equipped with the Do17, Do18 and later with the Ju88 Stuka  was a smaller bomber squad based in the North of Germany. In 1940 this unit saw a lot of action above and around the Ostsee around the scandinavian countries. Later is participated in the Battle of Britain. Merz was most likely engaged in many of these assaults of Britain as it tok him only 3 months to received the gold bomber clasp after the bronze one!!! 

The group comes with the original photos of Merz in his flight jacket and some others of the airplanes. All documents remain in very good condition without damage. The RO/AG document was denazified, all other swastika's are intact.
